The Trichy Engineering College library, providing service to our patrons, has been automated and uses world-class infrastructure facilities. With the state of the art, needed equipments, we have a huge collection of information, which are available in digital format including audio/videos, apart from books and periodicals, collected over decades.

Instructions to Library Users

  1. Students and staff should sign digitally, using their College Identity Card, at the entrance, register their entry and exit in the library.
  2. Textbooks as specified by affiliating Anna University are available in plenty and can be borrowed for fifteen days.
  3. Books meant for “Reference” will not be issued to the students and staff.
  4. The digital library with internet facility is accessible on library premises as well as within the entire campus using college Wi-Fi.
  5. Silence is to be strictly observed.
  6. Chairs and tables should not be disturbed from their position.
  7. Mutilation and disfiguring of pages of library materials by ink or pencil marks are prohibited.
  8. If a book is lost completely or partially, the borrower is either liable for a fine or bound to replace the same, or both.
  9. A day-wise fine will be collected for not returning the books on the due date.
  10. Defects found in books taken out for reading or borrowing should be brought immediately to the notice of the staff on duty.
  11. Loss of ID cards is to be reported immediately.
  12. Students can borrow three books from the library for a period of two weeks.
  13. Personal papers and non-library materials are not allowed inside the library.
  14. Students are advised not to exchange the library copies amongst themselves.
  15. Books are to be returned and dues remitted before going on vacation.
  16. The library will not accept the return of books on the same date of issue.
  17. If uncut pages are found, ask library staff for help.
  18. Don't use a pen or pencil to hold a particular page.
