SC ST Committee
The SC ST Committee cell has been established to support and to bring students from such communities into the main stream. The cell takes special interest in facilitating financial support and career orientation for students from these communities.
Functions of the Committee
- Collect reports and information on government orders regarding education and employment of SC/ST & OBC Students.
- Circulate decisions about different scholarship and career development programs.
- Collect and maintain a register for employment of candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
- Conduct remedial coaching sessions and monitor the working of the scheme.
- Function as a Grievances Redressal Cell for SC/ST students and employees.
- Monitor the admission process to ensure reservation quotas are correctly implemented.
- Promote higher education among communities suffering economic, social, and educational deprivations.
- Encourage SC/ST students to provide feedback and suggestions.
Objectives
- To implement the reservation policy for SCs/STs in the College.
- To collect and analyse data on the implementation of policies in admissions and appointments.
- To take follow-up measures to achieve the objectives laid down by the Government and UGC.
- To implement, monitor, and evaluate the reservation policy continuously.
